#VOTEREDS LUNCH TODAY AT NOON!

TODAY at 12:00 noon ET, I’ll be hosting on Twitter the second VOTE REDS LUNCH of 2012.

For those of you not familiar with the Vote Reds Lunches, here’s the deal:

Thank you to everyone who participated in the first #VoteReds Lunch of 2012!  We’re going to do it again every Wednesday through June 28.

It’s that time of the year, boys and girls!

Beginning Wednesday at 12:00 noon ET, I’ll be hosting on Twitter the first VOTE REDS LUNCH of 2012.

Can you believe this will be the third year we’ve been doing this?!

For those of you not familiar with the Vote Reds Lunches, here’s the deal:

VOTE REDS LUNCH TODAY!

I hope you can join me and your fellow Reds fans today at Great American Ball Park’s Fox Sports Ohio Champions Club from 11:30 to 1:30 as we dine on free pizza and soft drinks while we VOTE REDS!

Your encouraged to bring your laptop and use our free wi-fi as we pile on the votes for Brandon Phillips, Joey Votto, Jay Bruce and all of our other deserving all-stars.

Please enter through the main gates of Great American Ball Park (Crosley Terrace, where the statues are located).  There’s plenty of parking around the ballpark, including the public landing.

If you can’t make it today, please join me on Twitter (Jamieblog) and use the hashtag #VoteRedsLunch to tell us what you’re having for your midday meal and how many votes your casting for our Reds all-stars!

Remember, voting ends Thursday night at 11:59pm ET.  Currently, Brandon Phillips and Joey Votto have dropped in the all-star ballot results and need a push!

Over the past two seasons, only this pitcher has more hits (as a batter) than Mike Leake.  Name him.

I’ll announce the answer and winner tomorrow.  The winner, who I’ll select randomly, will win a brand new Better Off Red t-shirt and a pair of Magic Red Shoelaces.

From today’s Reds gamenotes, I read this very disturbing news:

2B Brandon Phillips is second in the All-Star Game voting at his position to Rickie Weeks by 78,397 votes…1B Joey Votto has dropped to third behind Albert Pujols and Prince Fielder…Scott Rolen remains fifth among third basemenand Jay Bruce remains sixth among outfielders.

This is simply unacceptable.  Joey Votto is the reigning National League Most Valuable Player, Brandon Phillips is the best second baseman in the National League and Cincinnati Reds fans take a back-seat to NO ONE (especially Milwaukee). 

1+1+1=”We better get our boys to Phoenix”.

#VOTEREDSLUNCH AT GREAT AMERICAN BALL PARK JUNE 29

As the voting winds down for the 2011 MLB All-Star Game, the Reds want you to kick it into overdrive to get our boys to Phoenix!  

As you know, I’ve been hosting a weekly #VoteRedsLunch on Twitter in order to drum up support for our deserving All-Stars.  Well, we’re going to do it again this coming Wednesday (June 29) , but this time, with a twist…… 

Rather than an online lunch, you’re all invited to join me in real life (!) from 11:30am to 1:30pm in the Fox Sports Ohio Champions Club inside Great American Ball Park!!

We will feast on free pizza and soft drinks and vote, vote, vote for our Reds team! 

Simply enter through the main gates of GABP between 11:30am and 1:30pm and you’ll be directed to Campaign Headquarters.

We will have some laptops for you to use to vote, but you’re encouraged to bring your own (or ipads, tablets, etc).

Sound good?!  Let’s do this! Vote Reds!!!
