Today’s Farm Report includes all-star game recaps (Billy Hamilton won his team’s MVP) and Robert Stephenson’s pro debut.

Check out this photo of Jon Matthews, who last night singled home the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning for Billings.  Even after getting a shaving cream pie, he still finds time to sign for the fans before hitting the showers….

TUESDAY’S #REDS GAMENOTES AND FARM REPORT; ELIAS SAYS…

I’ve decided to no longer include here on Better Off Red the “Scribd” files of the Gamenotes and Farm Report .  The Scribd format tends to slow down the speed of the blog and isn’t very reader-friendly on portable devices.  Basically they’re more trouble than they’re worth.

I will, however, continue to include the PDF files of those same documents.  Simply click on the links below to read today’s Gamenotes and Farm Report in PDF form.  Let me know if this is better/worse.

From our friends at Elias Sports Bureau

VOTTO GOES 44 FOR 100

Joey Votto, who was 2-for-4 with a home run and a double on Monday night, has 44 hits, including seven home runs and 12 doubles, over his last 100 at-bats.  He’s the first Reds player since Frank Robinson in 1961 with 44 or more hits, including at least 19 for extra bases, in a span of 100 at-bats.

“OH MY GOODNESS!”

In case you missed it, yesterday Dat Dude BP was up to his old tricks….

Amazing!   Now can we please get this guy voted into the All-Star Game…please?!

…..

Speaking of amazing, how great is this music video going to be?

FARM REPORT: Of the Reds 4 active domestic minor league teams, only Louisville will be in action this evening, (Billings opens its season tonight) thus there will be no “official” Reds Farm Report on BOR this afternoon.  However, we here at BOR would like to congratulate RHP Daniel Corcino for being named Southern League Pitcher of the Week for June 11-17.  Corcino and reliever Wilkin De La Rosa on Saturday vs Mobile, combined for Pensacola’s first ever no-hitter.  Corcino fired 8.0 innings and allowed just 3 walks while striking out 9.

Corcino is one of 5 players who will be representing Pensacola at tomorrow night’s Southern League All-Star Game in Kodak, TNOF Ryan LaMarre, SS Didi Gregorius, OF Josh Fellhauer and RHP J.C. Sulbaran will be joining Corcino.

Bakersfield’s Billy Hamilton, who collected 5 stolen bases Saturday to give him 80 steals in just 66 games will headline tomorrow’s California League vs. Carolina League All-Star Game in Winston-Salem, NC.  Hamilton’s teammates RHP Chad Rogers, RHP Brian Pearl, 1b/OF Donald Lutz and LHP Tony Cingrani were also named to the Cal League All-Star squad (Lutz – injury & Cingrani – promotion, will not participate in the game).

2b Ryan Wright will represent Dayton at tomorrow night’s Midwest League All-Star Game in Geneva, Ill.

…..

More in a bit.

Expect good news!

Jamie
