From my pal @Bongreatness

Tonight is the 13th Fireworks Friday of the 2016 season, presented by Adam’s Recovery Center.  The postgame fireworks show, featuring Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks set to a soundtrack hand-picked by KISS107 radio personality Deelo, will begin approximately 10 minutes after the conclusion of tonight’s game.

Prior to the singing of our National Anthem tonight we will pause for a Moment of Remembrance in honor of Miami Marlins pitcher José Fernández.

We have a pair of pregame check presentations this evening as part of season-long promotions with Reds corporate partners.  First, Mike’s Carwash will make a check presentation in the amount of $18,969.00 to the Reds Community Fund on behalf of their “BowTie Tuesday” promotion.  And secondly Great American Insurance Group will make a check presentation in the amount of $21,750.00 to the Literacy Network on behalf of their Great American Insurance Run promotion.

Also during pregame ceremonies tonight we will recognize 40 members of the Marines Corps’ Golf Company, 2nd battalion 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division joining us for their annual reunion.  As part of the ceremonies (ret.) Colonel Chuck Meadows will offer up a ceremonial first pitch.

Prior to the start of tonight’s fireworks show the Reds will welcome representatives of five local universities as part of College Weekend at GABP (Miami University, Xavier University, Northern Kentucky University, University of Cincinnati & University of Kentucky).  This year the Reds partnered with these institutions of higher learning in a ticket sale fundraiser which included Reds hats branded with each respective university’s logo.  The total amount raised through this year’s partnership will exceed $5,000 which will be donated to various scholarship funds within each university.
