During pregame ceremonies today we will salute former Red and current Mets outfielder, Jay Bruce, for he and his family’s many contributions to the Cincinnati Reds, the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum, the Reds Community Fund & the Cincinnati community during Jay’s tenure with the organization.  Jay will be joined on-field for the ceremony by his wife Hannah & infant son, Carter.  During Jay’s time with the Reds his off-field contributions included monetary donations to programs such as Bruce’s Buddies, Bruce’s Battalion, the Brian Wilson Field project, and the Bruce Family Field project at the P&G Cincinnati MLB Urban Youth Academy amongst others, as well as the donation of his time to initiatives such as the annual Reds e-Waste Recycling Drive, the Reds Rookie Success League programs & numerous appearances on the Reds Caravan in addition to yearly appearances at Redsfest.  Hannah Bruce also donated her time through Reds Wives fundraisers throughout their stay in Cincinnati.  FOX Sports Ohio will carry the pregame ceremony on their Reds Live pregame telecast.

Note:  Today’s National Anthem will take place at 12:46PM (12:45PM introduction of Honor Guard).

Also during pregame ceremonies today we welcome the 14th annual Mascot T-Ball Game back to Great American Ball Park.  Over 23 mascots will participate in today’s game on-field at 12PM including Who-Dey, Smokey the Bear, Buddy Bat, Bobber – the Water Safety Dog, and of course – Produce Man.

Felita LaRock will join us during the middle of the 7th inning break today to lead us in the singing of God Bless America.

Following the conclusion of today’s game is a special opportunity for members of the Reds Heads Kids Club to Run the Bases of Great American Ball Park.  Reds Heads member receive this exclusive opportunity as part of their membership to the kids club.
