SATURDAY’S #REDS LINEUP; FULL DAY RUNDOWN
*UPDATE – Brandon Phillips has been scratched from today’s lineup due to a sore foot. He fouled a ball off his foot last night vs St. Louis. Jose Peraza replaces Phillips in today’s lineup at second base.
From my pal @Bongreatness…
The first 25,000 fans in attendance at today’s game will receive an Eugenio Suarez bobblehead, courtesy of Kingsgate Transportation. Gates to the ballpark are scheduled to open at 2:10PM for Season Ticket Members and 2:40PM for all other fans. However those gate opening times could be adjusted in accordance with Cincinnati Fire Code should the crowd size outside the gates dictate it so.
Today the Reds and ReelAbilities are partnering for the inaugural #BaseballForAll event to raise awareness of ReelAbilities and its organizing foundation LADD – Living Arrangements for the Developmentally Disabled. Many of today’s pregame ceremonies will feature local leaders living with varying abilities including Patrick Henry Hughes singing the National Anthem and Teddy Kremer delivering the official game ball. Kyle Weisker, a freshman at Wright State University who has been blind since birth, will serve as the guest PA announcer during the fifth inning. The ReelAbilities Cincinnati Film Festival (March 9-12, 2017) brings together the community to promote awareness and appreciation of the lives, stories and artistic expressions of people with different abilities.
After the game concludes today we welcome country music rising star Chase Rice for a postgame concert, presented by Budweiser. The concert will begin approximately 25 minutes after the conclusion of today’s game. Rice will be performing a 60-minute set for fans. Rice will also offer up one of our ceremonial first pitches today.
