Tonight is the 11th Fireworks Friday of the 2016 season, presented by Delta Air Lines.  The postgame fireworks show, featuring Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks, will begin approximately 10 minutes after the conclusion of tonight’s game and feature a soundtrack compiled by 700WLW’s on-air personality Eddie Fingers.

Tonight is the 5th Military Appreciation Game of the 2016 season, presented by DAV – Disabled American Veterans – and Hankook Tire.  The Reds will be wearing their digi-camo uniforms tonight for the final time during the 2016 season.  During pregame ceremonies tonight we will be honoring a group of 10 World War II vets who honorably served as part of the Greatest Generation.  Each vet will receive a Cincinnati Hometown Hero Certificate, Reds Challenge Coin & Reds Hometown Hero custom hat from COO Phil Castellini.  The attached script provides a little bio information on each of these veterans.

Additional pregame festivities honoring the Armed Forces tonight include:

  • Montezuma-Cincinnati Detachment #270 of the Marine Corp League will present colors
  • The 82nd Airborne Division All-American Chorus will sing our National Anthem
  • Senior Chief (ret.) Jeffrey McGlamery of the US Navy will be offering up a ceremonial first pitch
  • Technical Sergeant Donnie Turner of the United States Air Force will serve as tonight’s Honorary Captain
