From my pal @Bongreatness

Tonight, the Reds are recognizing one of the key youth baseball programs operated by the Reds Community Fund – the Coldwell Banker West Shell “Match” program.  Now in its 11th season, the “Match” program blends inner-city baseball organizations with suburban counterparts.  Each “Match” receives a grant from the Reds Community Fund to underwrite the expense of joint activities.  These events include games at each other’s home field, and a visit to Redsfest in December.  Tonight the Match kids and coaches will participate in a pregame parade & recognition ceremony.

Offering up one of our ceremonial first pitches this evening will be ATP tour tennis professional Reilly Opelka. Reilly is 18-years old and recently joined the ATP circuit full-time, and is competing in the Western & Southern Open this week. The annual tournament runs through Aug. 21st at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason.  Reilly won the 2015 Junior Wimbledon tournament and at 6’ 11” is one of the tallest tennis pros in ATP history.
