From my pal @Bongreatness

Teams playing in Major League Baseball’s 2016 RBI Softball World Series in Cincinnati will participate in a pregame parade and ceremony. Eight softball teams from the U.S. and the Dominican Republic are competing Aug. 11-16 with games being played at the P&G Cincinnati MLB Youth Academy, Mason High School and Miami University.

Offering up one of our ceremonial first pitches this evening will be Lawrenceburg, Indiana, native and 2006 NHRA Rookie of the Year, driver J.R. Todd.  Todd recently took first place at the Toyota NHRA Sonoma Nationals.

In conjunction with Hoxworth Blood Center, tonight’s videoboard presentation of the Starting Lineups & Scoreboard Stumper are taking part in the “Missing Type Campaign”.  The Missing Type Campaign is a global campaign to create engagement and awareness of the importance of giving blood and the need of blood types A, O and B.  Those letters will be missing from the two videoboard features today. Hoxworth & the Reds partner every season for one of the largest blood drives in the nation.
