From “The Great Bonkowski

Tonight is the 7th Fireworks Friday of the 2015 season, presented by Coca-Cola. Tonight’s postgame fireworks show, featuring Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks, will begin approximately 15 minutes after the conclusion of tonight’s game. The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Pops, under the direction of Maestro John Morris Russell, will perform a 15-minute concert prior to the start of tonight’s fireworks show and will also provide the LIVE soundtrack to the show itself, which is scheduled to last 20 minutes. This is the second consecutive year that the Reds and Pops have worked together on a postgame fireworks concert. The Pops will perform from the Kroger Fan Zone Field, which will be shown LIVE on our Great American Ball Park video board(s).

Speaking of video boards – in a pregame ceremony today starting at 6:53PM the Reds will officially turn on the new video board located above the Sun/Moon Deck in rightfield. The new video board is the latest initiative in the longstanding partnership between the Reds and P&G, who continue to honor its local roots by supporting projects such as this and the Cincinnati MLB Urban Youth Academy in Roselawn. The new rightfield video board measures 90’ by 30’ and will benefit more than 7,500 seat holders who have limited or obstructed view of the main board.

Mrs. Carolyn Harkins, the daughter of Reds Hall of Famer Bucky Walters, will offer up one of tonight’s ceremonial first pitches. Carolyn is joining us tonight as a guest of the Reds and corporate partner Superior Dental Care.
