MONDAY’S #REDS LINEUP VS. MINNESOTA: WHO’S YOUR ‘RED-TO-ROCK?’

6-29

From my pal @Bongreatness

Tonight is the third Kid Glove Game of the 2015 season, proudly presented by Meijer. In its 67th consecutive season the Kid Glove Program has helped raise over 9 million dollars to buy baseball and softball equipment for more than 40,000 youngsters in the Greater Cincinnati area.

Scottie Instine of Triad High School will be honored as the recipient of the 2015 Harvey Haddix Memorial Sportsmanship Award. Haddix was the first Reds pitcher to win a Gold Glove in 1958. Since his death in 1994, the Urbana Daily Citizen newspaper and the Haddix family have annually presented the Harvey Haddix Memorial Sportsmanship Award to a worthy high school baseball player from Champaign County, Ohio. Reds broadcaster Chris Welsh will present the award during pregame ceremonies and Scottie will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.
