From my pal @Bongreatness...

Prior to the singing of our National Anthem this evening we will observe a Moment of Remembrance in honor of fallen Cincinnati Police Officer Sonny Kim. Officer Kim died in the line of duty earlier today. A previously planned tribute by tonight’s Honor Guard, The Emerald Society, to the family of fallen Firefighter Daryl Gordon will take place as planned during the presentation of colors tonight prior to the moment of silence. The thoughts and prayers of the entire Reds organization go out to the family of Officer Kim and our friends in the Cincinnati Police Department.

Tonight is Friday Fireworks #6 of the 2015 season, presented by the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family. The approximately 15-minute fireworks display will begin approximately 15 minutes after the conclusion of tonight’s game and feature Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks set to a “ShamROCK the Ball Park” soundtrack.

“ShamROCK the Ball Park” is in celebration of Irish Heritage Night. The Reds will be wearing their Irish Heritage alternative jersey tops this evening, which will be available for purchase through Reds Authentics after the game. Additional festivities around the ballpark include performances by the McGing Irish Dancers (pregame and postgame), a pregame performance by the Emerald Society Bagpipers, and the singing of both our National Anthem and Take Me Out to the Ballgame by the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick.

Also during pregame ceremonies tonight the Reds will welcome the Prostate Cancer Foundation, including Chairman and Founder Michael Milken, as part of their tour of ballparks in support of the Home Run Challenge. At all MLB games from June 15th through Father’s Day every major league home run will raise funds for prostate cancer research.
