First, here are some must-see videos from Great American Ball Park over the weekend…

Look who was wearing a Reds jersey last night at the Bunbury Music Festival in Cincinnati…

Congratulations to A-Dayton’s Tyler Mahle, who today was named Midwest League Pitcher of the Week. Mahle, 20, was selected by the Reds in the seventh round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft.

And speaking of the Draft, it gets underway this afternoon. The Reds will have the 11th pick in the first round. For more on what the Reds are rumored to do in the Draft, Mark Sheldon has it HERE.

Following Johnny Cueto’s stellar outing yesterday vs. the Padres, here’s where he ranks among National League leaders…

  1. WHIP (walks + hits / innings pitched): 0.94, 3rd
  2. Opponents’ on-base pct: .250, 3rd
  3. Opponents’ OPS: .608: 9th
  4. ERA: 2.64, 9th
  5. Strikeouts: 73, 15th (not bad considering he missed 2 starts)

RHP Matt Magill on 5/8 in Cincinnati had successful “Tommy John” surgery to repair the torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow (Dr. Timothy Kremchek)…barring complications, he is expected to return in 2016… Magill, acquired in December from the Dodgers in exchange for OF Chris Heisey, went 1-1, 7.90 in 3 starts for Class AAA Louisville.

Congratulations to Fox Sports Ohio for receiving eight Emmy nominations from the National Academy of Television Arts Sciences’ Ohio Valley chapter!

I’ll have more in a bit.

Expect good news,
