Johnny-Bench-BobbleThe first 25,000 fans in attendance at today’s game will receive a Johnny Bench “Stars of the Queen City” bobblehead, courtesy of John Morrell. Gates to the ballpark are scheduled to open at 5:10PM for Season Ticket Holders and 5:40PM for the general public. However, those times may be adjusted in accordance with Cincinnati Fire Code should the crowd size outside the gates dictate it so.

Today is the first Military Appreciation Day of the 2015 season, presented by DAV & Retiremed IQ. The Reds will be wearing their alternative camouflage uniforms for today’s game. During pregame ceremonies and throughout tonight’s game we will honoring current and veteran military members and their families, celebrating Armed Forces Day in America. Ballpark ceremonies and events will include:
• “All Systems Go” from the Wright Patterson Air Force Base & Air Force’s Band of Flight will perform on the Fan Zone Main Stage prior to the game.
• Recognition of the US Navy Reserves, who are celebrating their centennial anniversary in 2015. We will welcome to the ballpark several Navy reservists who have recently returned from deployments around the world as well as family members of reservists currently serving abroad.
• The Navy Reserve Force Master Chief – Mr. C.J. Mitchell – will join us for today’s ceremonial and offer up one of today’s ceremonial first pitches. The Force Master Chief is the highest enlisted position in the Navy Reserves and Mr. Mitchell is a native of Cincinnati (Cincinnati Country Day School).
• A Joint Forces Color Guard of the United States Military will present tonight’s colors.
• Air Force TSGT (ret.) Felita LaRock will lead us in the singing of our National Anthem.
• Today’s official Game Ball will be delivered to the mound by Corporal Christian Dekker of the United States Marines.
• Serving as today’s Honorary Captain will be Petty Officer 3rd Class Alexis Reeves of the United States Coast Guard.
• Army veteran SPC John Langenheim will be honored as today’s Hometown Hero.
