“I’ve been in different organizations and different cities and teams. Here, it’s like we’ve won the World Series already. It’s something special. I notice that everybody has been counting down the days before Opening Day. It’s so exciting. It’s beautiful to see how much they know about our team and our team tradition. The fans respect that.” – Brayan Pena (MLB.com)
“Awesome. Awesome. We’ve got guys who pick each other up — we’ve got guys that have the ability to change the score with one swing of the bat. We’ve got guys that have the ability to steal bases. We’ve got guys with the ability to win Gold Gloves. We have guys who have the ability to throw shutouts and no-hitters. We have a lot of things going on here.” – Jay Bruce (Cincinnati Enquirer)
“I guess he’s not Sampson.” – Marlon Byrd regarding the newly coiffed Andrew McCutchen (Cincinnati Enquirer)
“For him to come into spring ready like he was, he’s a new Joey (Votto) to me. I watch him and the enthusiasm he has and the willing to win that he has showed in the spring. It’s good to have him back out there. He’s swinging the bat very well, which is just doing what Joey Votto does. I’m excited for him.” – Billy Hamilton (FOX Sports)
