Greetings from GABP!

You might be surprised at how much work and planning that goes into hosting an All-Star Game.  Meetings actually began with the Reds and MLB and others at the ballpark early last year and it’s continuing through this offseason.

Today a large contingent from MLB and its media partners were on the premises today to discuss things such as set location and camera positioning (and numerous other things).  It’s amazing how surgical the preparation is for this world class event.  I’m proud of my good pal Zach Bonkwoski (@Bongreatness), who is serving as the All-Star Game coordinator for the Reds.  He’s been doing Yoeman’s Work.  Did I mention he’s also the point man on organizing Redsfest?  Dude’s been earning his weight in gold these past few months.

And speaking of this week’s Redsfest, be sure to visit the event’s FAQs page to see the answers to your inquiries.

The Reds have posted their 2015 Promotional Schedule.  CLICK HERE to check it out.

Have you folks seen the MLB Network Social Media Awards?  The Reds have four nominations, including Favorite Follow, Social Savvy Rookie, Best #TBT and Best Videobomb.  Voting ends December 13!

Don’t forget to join us tonight at the Holy Grail Banks for the Reds Hot Stove League radio show and Better Off Red Baseball Trivia!  Marty and Thom Brennaman are this week’s Hot Stove hosts and they’ll be joined on the phone by infielder Kristopher Negron.  Afterwards, we’ll play another round of trivia with tonight’s theme being All-Star Game Trivia.  The show starts at 6pm.

And in case you missed it, in honor of #GivingTuesday, We’ll be collecting cat food/supplies tonight to donate to my friends at Ohio Alleycat Resource.  If you’re planning to join us at the Holy Grail Banks, we’ll gladly accept anything you can donate to the kitty cats.  I posted a “wish list” of things HERE.

I received a few questions regarding the “non-tender” deadline and how that’ll affect the Reds.  My main man Mark Sheldon covers that eloquently HERE.

And take a look at this video of some of the Reds longest home runs of 2014…

That’s all for now. See ya tonight!
