From my pal @Bongreatness...

Today is Hispanic Heritage Day at Great American Ball Park, the wrap-up to Heritage Weekend.  As part of today’s celebration the team will be wearing it’s “Rojos” jerseys for the game.  Additionally during pregame ceremonies today we will present Sister Jauna Mendez with the Reds Community Advocate Award, recognized her contributions to the Hispanic community of Northern Kentucky. We’ll also salute Reds players Pedro Villarreal (Mexico), Yorman Rodriguez (Venezuela), Kristopher Negron (Puerto Rico), Daniel Corcino (Dominican Republic), Carlos Contreras (DR), Jumbo Diaz (DR), Ramon Santiago (DR), Alfredo Simon (DR), Johnny Cueto (DR), Brayan Peña (Cuba) & Aroldis Chapman (Cuba) who will be receiving a certificate of recognition from the Ohio Latino Affairs Commission.  Various other activities are planned in and around the ballpark throughout today’s game.

During the middle of the 7th inning break today we will welcome Peter Michael Pirro to lead us in the singing of God Bless America.

Following the conclusion of today’s game is our annual Reds Heads Run-the-Bases event. This run-the-bases event is exclusive to 2014 Reds Heads members. Memberships, which would include access to today’s Run-the-Bases, are still available for purchase inside Great American Ball Park.
