Today is the second Military Appreciation Day of the 2014 season, presented by A number of pregame activities are planned as part of today’s event, including:
• A reenlistment ceremony for soldiers in the United States Army
• US Army provided Honor Guard & National Anthem performed by members of the US Army Corps of Engineers
• A giant American flag will be unfurled by active duty soldiers during the singing of our National Anthem
• A ceremonial first pitch by the Army’s most senior non-commissioned officer…Sergeant Major of the Army, Ray Chandler

All of these groups are joining us tonight as we lead up to the celebration of the Army’s 239th birthday, taking place this Saturday, June 14th in America (also Flag Day).

In addition, the Reds tonight will be debuting their “digi-camo” uniforms, being worn during a game for the first time in franchise history.

Also taking part in pregame ceremonies tonight will be Buddy LaRosa, who along with his son Mark will serve as tonight’s Honorary Captains. LaRosa’s Pizza is celebrating their 60th anniversary at the ballpark this evening.
