The Reds today activated from the disabled list Joey Votto and optioned to Triple-A Louisville Donald Lutz.

From my pal @Bongreatness

Today marks the 70th anniversary of Joe Nuxhall’s Major League Baseball debut. During pregame ceremonies today we will honor Joe’s legacy, which coincides with City of Hamilton Night at GABP. The first 20,000 fans in attendance tonight will receive a Joe Nuxhall commemorative print.

Tonight we will also welcome NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. to the ballpark as part of Reds Racing Night. Dale will be present for a few pregame ceremonies and activities tonight that involve the local Boys & Girls Clubs. A signed EARNHARDT #88 authentic Reds jersey will be available for raffle at the Reds Authentics booth tonight. Sales from the $5 raffle tickets will be split between the Reds Community Fund & Boys & Girls Clubs charities.

Tonight is the fourth of six Kid Glove Games during the 2014 season.
