REDS PLAYERS, COACHES VISIT CINCINNATI CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

On Tuesday, May 13, Reds players and members of the coaching staff visited the Cincinnati Children’s.

Pitcher J.J. Hoover and outfielder Skip Schumaker were on hand to meet with young fans in the Hematology/Oncology wing of the hospital along with coaches Freddie Benavides, Don Long, Jeff Pico, Steve Smith and Lee Tinsley.

Patients were thrilled to receive autographed hats and bobbleheads. The visit put smiles on the kids’ faces as well as the players and coaches.

Tuesday marked the first in a series of monthly visits to Cincinnati Children’s scheduled for this season by Reds players and coaches.

This is a great thing that all teams should do… The players should also do some of the visits on their own to these children… Can some of the bigger name players go see these kids like Phillips, Mesoraco, Votto, Cueto and your ambassador should be Brayan Pena that guy always has a smile on his face (except the day Chapman got hit)…
