EVEN GABP NEEDS A BLANKET IN THIS WEATHER

Earlier today, Reds Groundskeeper Doug Gallant and his staff installed a grow blanket over the infield and outfield grass at Great American Ball Park.  The purpose of the grow blanket is to insulate the grass for about a month and raise the temperature of the soil and roots to promote growth.  The blanket will be removed in March and the grounds crew will begin to prepare the field for Opening Day.
