Welcome to Week Four of The Burt Awards!

  • Every Monday, through November 4, a new batch of categories will be unveiled for voting.
  • Polls will close at Midnight, November 10.
  • Results will be posted right here on BOR on Monday, November 11.

Before we get to this week’s polls, don’t forget to vote for Week One, Week Two and Week Three nominees.

Congratulations to Week Three winner – @SuperBarry11, who participated in #TheBurts discussion and was randomly chosen to win a cool prize from BOR HQ.

Would you like to be Week Four’s winner?  Simply leave a comment on this blog post, or include the hashtag #TheBurts in your tweets this week.  I will announce one random winner prior to the unveiling of next week’s nominees.

Without further ado, here are the new categories that need your votes…

Of the 162 games that the Reds played in 2013, there were a few that stood out above the rest.  Which game was your favorite?

The Reds Twitter roster continued to grow in 2013.  Reds fans now have online access to many of their favorite players and team personnel. Who was your favorite of the bunch in ’13?  Last year, you chose @DatDudeBP (37%).

This category is for the Reds fan who loves seeing dirty uniforms, full-throttle hustle and fearless acts of accomplishment.  Who was the “grittiest” Red of 2013?  Last year, Ryan Hanigan won the Burt with 46% of the vote.

You and your pals are sitting around discussing the possibility of the Reds getting into an on-field brawl.  Naturally, such a discussion requires the following question: Which Reds player should you best not mess with?  Last year, you said Mat Latos (35%)

There were several incredible performances by Reds players in 2013.  Which was the best?  Last year, Homer Bailey’s no-hitter took the title with 60% of the vote.  Go figure, another Homer no-hitter is a nominee this year.

That’s all for this week.  Check back Monday for another round of categories and nominees.   Thanks for voting and don’t forget to take the discussion to Twitter by using the hashtag #TheBurts and/or leaving your thoughts in the comments section of this post!

HOLY WOW! How does Homer Bailey get in the “Don’t mess with” catagory?? LOL

I think this might have been the most difficult set of Burt voting yet!

Best twitter account is @jamieblog! You forgot that one!

Excellent job again this week Mr. Ramsey!!!

Great to see Lisa Braun get a nomination…

Of course @jamieblog is the better Reds Twitter. Duh!

Wow. Best moment was tough. Some amazing moments this year. Loved the no-hitter, the walkoffs against Kimbrel and Grilli, but I was at the Dodger game against Kershaw. I can’t remember a whole game with an atmosphere like that. Unbelievable. Loved every minute of that game. And don’t mess with Latos! Those tattoos give him a don’t mess with me vibe. Fun I hear if you’re on his good side. Bad side, I don’t even wanna know. Dallas Latos has some pretty good teeets. More entertaining than Phillips even.

Have to agree that leaving off @jamieblog was a shame!

Jamie rules!!!!
One man = half skyrosa/half awesomeness! !!!!!!!!!!!!???

If you asked the Cardinals I think they would say Johnny Cueto is the one they would least want to mess with. He did some damage in that brawl.
