TUESDAY’S PREGAME #REDS PHOTOS FROM HOUSTON
Astros legend J.R. Richard was in the Reds clubhouse today visiting with old friend Dusty Baker. I find it amusing that J.R. doesn’t call the Reds manager by his first name or even a nickname,” rather he always refers to him as “Baker.” This was something I picked up on when J.R. visited last year.
When we’re in Houston, Dusty is also regularly visited by his old roommate Ralph Garr. “Gator” was a Major League All-Star and played with Dusty when both were young prospects in Atlanta. Ralph hung out in the clubhouse yesterday before the game.
The fire alarm in the Reds team hotel went off this morning just before 3 a.m. local time. It was a “false alarm” but due to a technical snafu, the alarm couldn’t be turned off until just after 4 a.m.
