REDS ON DECK: TODD FRAZIER (@FLAVAFRAZ21); VOTTO PUTS IN THE WORK

The very talented Reds production staff is currently producing a cool video segment called “Reds On Deck.”  These features, including the one of Todd Frazier posted HERE, can be found by clicking on the “CIN Productions” tab on the front page of Reds.com.

And speaking of Frazier, he got pinned during today’s pregame stretch session by Brandon Phillips.  Dat Dude might have a future in the WWE!

Also before tonight’s game…WAY BEFORE tonight’s game, Reds first baseman Joey Votto was at Progressive Field working on his defense.

At 2:30pm (4 1/2 hours before first pitch), Joey was fielding grounders from his knees in the infield grass.  He also took hard short-hoppers at first base from Billy Hatcher, who was hitting them from behind second base.

It’s just another example of how driven Votto is and how an already great player puts in the work to get better.

What you talked about/showed above is exactly the reason why Joey Votto is my favorite Reds’ player – even though he has clearly proven with his offense/defense that he is an elite player, Joey never stops striving to improve all aspects of his game. Truly inspiring! :)
