From our pal @Bongreatness

The first 10,000 moms through the Great American Ball Park gates today will receive a Reds Tote Bag, courtesy of Biz & Oxydol. Gates to the ballpark are scheduled to open at 11:10AM for Season Ticket Holders and 11:40AM for the general public. However if the crowd size outside the gates dictates it so, those times will be adjusted in accordance with Cincinnati Fire Code.

Today’s pregame parade around the warning track will feature members of the Reds Heads kids club, along with their moms.

Today’s Honorary Captain is Josie Shuler, who was selected as the winner of the Major League Baseball Mother’s Day “Honorary Bat Girl” contest for the Cincinnati Reds organization. Josie has been battling Triple Negative Breast Cancer since August 2008 and her courage and positive attitude is an inspiration to everyone in her life.

The mother & daughter singing duo of Rose Christophel & Cora Moore will lead the crowd in singing of God Bless America during the middle of the 7th inning break today.

A very happy Mother’s Day to all the moms on the Reds staff out there – and all our friends & partners around the ballpark celebrating this special day!
