#REDSTWEETUP: TONIGHT’S PREGAME RUNDOWN

From my pal @Bongreatness

Tonight is the third Fireworks Friday of the 2013 season, with a postgame fireworks show presented by the Tri-State Chevy Dealers. The approximately 15 minute show will begin 15 minutes after the conclusion of tonight’s game and feature the #RedsDJBOOM soundtrack – which are songs handpicked by the fans through social media.

Today & tomorrow the Reds welcome the “Tailgate on the Terrace”, which is a new initial to create a pregame party just outside the ballpark gates on Crosley Terrace. The Tailgate on the Terrace features music and other entertainment along with the Budweiser Mobile Bar, which opens 3 hours before the game and remains open until the end of the 1st inning, featuring $4 aluminum can Anheuser-Busch products.

Tonight is also the first Reds TweetUp of the season, presented by Cincinnati.com. Tonight’s TweetUp is in salute to the #JoeyVotto Face of MLB campaign held during Spring Training by MLB Network. The TweetUp will take place in Section 110. During pregame ceremonies we will salute Joey Votto for his selection as the 2013 Face of MLB, as well as Reds Director of Digital Media, Digital Marketing Lisa Braun, for her efforts in leading the winning campaign in the hashtag battle.

Also during pregame ceremonies tonight we will welcome participants from the 2013 Flying Pig Marathon, powered by P&G. Held this past weekend, there were over 33,800 participants in marathon weekend. Tonight hundreds of those runner and walkers will participate in a pregame parade around the running track and women’s full marathon winner Rebecca Walter (Bloomington, IN) will offer up a ceremonial first pitch.

One additional note for tonight’s pregame ceremonies – we will recognize Alfonso Cornejo and Neil Comber, the co-creators and organizers of the Cincy Cinco Celebration, with the first ever “Reds Community Advocate Award”. This year’s event was the 10th in Cincy Cinco Celebration history, held annually at Fountain Square on May 5th as one of the city’s most prestigious cultural celebrations.
