People came out to GABP in full force yesterday to support Chris Herrell and the Be The Match organization!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  Hopefully one of us is Chris’ match and we can get him back to living a normal life with his beautiful family.

Jeff Wallner over at wrote a great recap of yesterday’s registry drive.  CLICK HERE to read it.

Below are some photos from the event….

We weren’t able to make it to either drive for Chris, but really wanted to make it to the Milford one today but couldn’t. When is there going to be another drive for possible donors?

Jamie,    My Husband and I are full season ticket holders and live in Southern Illinois Chris has been our ticket manager since the beginning of our tenure with the Reds!  Unfortunately we were unable to make it over to the marrow drive on the 22nd, but we would like to make a donation to Team Herrell.  How would we go about doing that and buying some of the Team Herrell t-shirts.     My husband and I have been fortunate enough to meet Chris and his lovely family.  He has always been incredibly helpful in dealing with every Reds seating question we have ever had.  Chris has gone out of his way to show us kindness far exceeding that of any ticket manager we have ever had for any other sport!  I often thank and praise him to everyone who is thinking about becoming a season ticket holder!!      When I read your blog as to Chris’ illness it so saddened my family.  Chris is truly one of the good guys!!  Will there be other marrow matching days or can my husband and I get swabbed in Illinois and have the results sent someplace?  We’d sure like to do anything we could to help Chris and his family.  Please keep us posted… Take care,     Susan Propst
