THE UMPTEENTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS
As promised, the Better Off Red elves are giving you a chance to win some very cool Reds-related gifts as a “thank you” for your support in 2012! It’s a little something we like to call “The Umpteen Days of Christmas.”
Today is the last day that you have the opportunity to win a top-of-the-line prize. Here’s how…
This year, Reds staffer Nick St. Pierre, and at times, others, have filmed reenactments from some of my personal favorite holiday classics. In order for you to win the daily prize, you have to submit the next line of the scene in the comments section of that day’s post.
– For example, if you see Nick reenacting the scene from It’s a Wonderful Life in which Zuzu Bailey says, “Every time a bell rings,” your response should be: “An angel gets his wings.”
Today’s prizes are a Todd Frazier–signed photo, a Billy Hamilton autographed baseball, a game-used baseball from the 9/22 “clinch” game vs the Dodgers and a 2013 Reds Pass-Port.
And here’s Nick with Reds staffers Jon Cine, John “Rat” Rieder and Kory Hetzer, reenacting a scene from Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas….
Finish the scene by leaving the next line in the comments section below.
You’ll notice I’ve made the actual comments in the comments section invisible to you and other readers. This is to cut down on “cheating.” Once you submit your comment, it will be automatically emailed to me, where only I’ll be able read your answer. I’ll put all the correct answers in a pile from which I’ll choose one random winner, daily. If you win, I’ll contact you via email.
And remember – no matter what holiday you celebrate this time of the year, Better Off Red celebrates it, too. Thus, all of you are encouraged to participate!
Congratulations to Day Eight’s randomly selected winner, Danny Points, who correctly responded with “You are so weird.” Danny wins the Jay Bruce autographed photo, a game-used baseball from Johnny Cueto’s 16th victory of 2012 and a 2013 Reds Pass-Port.
We’ll announce The Umpteenth Day’s winner tomorrow. Good luck!
