#REDS WIN! BEAT THE PIRATES IN A MUCH SHORTER GAME THAN MONDAY’S

Mike Leake pitched 7.0 strong innings (9h, 3r, 1bb, 3k, 2hr), and Brandon Phillips (#17) and Scott Rolen (#7) both homered as the Reds defeated the Pirates Tuesday night, 5-3.

Leake, Phillips, Wilson Valdez and Ryan Ludwick each had 2 hits.

Leake’s 43 hits over the last 3 seasons are the most by Major League pitcher.

Logan Ondrusek, Sean Marshall and Jonathan Broxton (Sv, 1) combined for 2.0 scoreless innings of relief.  The Reds bullpen hasn’t given up a run in 13.2 innings.
