REDS WIN! BAND OF BROTHERS HAVE GONE 22-9 SINCE LOSING VOTTO

Bronson Arroyo scattered 9 hits and allowed 3 runs in 6.1 innings to earn his 9th victory as the Reds beat the Cubs Friday night, 7-3.

Jose Arredondo (0.2ip), Jonathan Broxton (1ip) and Aroldis Chapman combined for 2.2 scoreless innings of relief.

At the plate, the Reds scored 7 runs on 10 hits.

LF Ryan Ludwick (2-for-4), 1b Todd Frazier (2-for-4) and RF Jay Bruce (1-for-3) all homered.

Ludwick has gone deep in 4 of his last 7 games and is currently working on a 9-game hitting streak.

Frazier has hit safely in 7 of 8 games, 6 of which have been multi-hit games.

Bruce has now homered in 4 of his last 5 games and is riding a 5-game hit streak (8rbi).

The Reds and Cubs resume this weekend series on Saturday with a day/night doubleheader at Great American Ball Park.  The Reds will send Johnny Cueto to the mound for game one while Todd Redmond will pitch the nightcap.
