SUNDAY’S #REDS GAMENOTES AND FARM REPORT
From my pal @Bongreatness…
The first 8,000 kids 14 and younger in attendance at today’s game will receive a Brandon Phillips Mesh Jersey Drawstring Backpack, courtesy of Cincinnati Bell. Ballpark gates are scheduled to open at 11:10AM for Season Ticket Holders and 11:40AM for the general public. However, if the crowd outside on Crosley Terrace dictates it so, ballpark gates may open early in accordance with Cincinnati Fire Code.
Today the Reds & Reds Community Fund welcome two special groups to the ballpark. The first are players and coaches is the Cincinnati area’s Reviving Baseball in the Inner Cities program (R.B.I.) and the second are representatives of Major League Baseball’s Baseball Tomorrow Fund. Each will participate in a series of pregame ceremonies today.
During the middle of the 7th inning break today we will welcome Karen Clenney, who will lead us in the singing of God Bless America.
Following the conclusion of today’s game, weather permitting, the Reds Community Fund will host a “Family Catch” event. Over 150 sets of family members will play “catch” in the outfield grass of Great American Ball Park as part of a fundraiser for the RCF.
