FACT: ALL ANIMALS ROOT FOR THE #REDS
From my colleague Zach “Bongreatness” Bonkowski….
Tonight is the fourth annual Zoo Night at Great American Ball Park. Joining us in the Fan Zone from 5:45-6:20PM and then again in the 1st inning of the game will be 13 animals from the Cincinnati Zoo for a special meet & greet. The animals range from a boa constrictor, to a spotted owl and many more. The same animals will be on display during a pregame parade along the warning track starting at 6:37PM. We will also welcome back “Sam” the Bald Eagle, who will make his second of five ceremonial flights from the Cincinnati Bell Riverboat Deck to the pitcher’s mound at the conclusion of the National Anthem. Thane Maynard, the Director of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, will serve as tonight’s Honorary Captain along with “Augustine” the American Alligator.
During the day today Reds players Zack Cozart, Chris Heisey & Mat Latos will participate in a Q&A session with kids taking place at The Cincinnati Zoo from 12-1PM.
