The Reds pounded out 12 hits, including 5 doubles and 3 home runs and scored a season-high 10 runs in Saturday’s 10-3 win over Colorado.

Chris Heisey belted his first home run of the season, Devin Mesoraco hit his third and Ryan Ludwick connected for a pinch-hit bomb.

Brandon Phillips paced the offense with 3 hits and 2 runs scored.  Joey Votto produced 2 more doubles – bringing his National League leading total in that category to 21.

Mike Leake started for the Reds and was chased after just 3.2 innings (9h, 3r, 1bb, 4k).  He was victimized by a high pitch count (84).

J.J. Hoover earned his first big league win, firing 1.1 scoreless innings of relief (0h, 1bb, 2k).

Sam LeCure (2ip, 0h, 1bb, 3k), Logan Ondrusek (1ip, 1h, 1bb) and Sean Marshall (1ip, 2k) closed it out.

With the Phillies 4-0 win Saturday over the Cardinals, the Reds take a 1.5 game first-place lead over St. Louis.

The Reds conclude their homestand Sunday with a 1:10 tilt against the Rockies.  I hope to see you folks at the ballpark!
