Saw a youngster at the ballpark this afternoon with a most excellent hairdo…check it out

Great stuff from my friends at Red Reporter.  Give it a read.

Said hello today to former Red and current Rockie, Ramon Hernandez during batting practice.  Despite going on the disabled list this afternoon, I could tell he was excited to be back in Cincinnati to see his old teammates.  “Clutch Man Monie” was (and is) always a class-act.

The Reds’ game rained out at Great American Ball Park on May 1 vs the Cubs has been rescheduled for 1:10 p.m. on Saturday, August 18 as part of a day/night doubleheader…the originally scheduled game will begin at 7:10…fans with tickets dated May 1 can use that same ticket at the gate for admission to the 1:10 p.m. game with no exchange necessary…fans also can exchange their tickets dated May 1 for any other 2012 game, pending availability.

I watched Jay Bruce today take grounders at first, short and third during batting practice.  He made an unbelievable play at third base on a bullet ground ball.  His teammates who saw it, as well as coach Chris Speier, gave him a nice cheer.

And speaking of Bruce, he’s currently mired in a bit of a slump, but I’m confident that he’s going to bust out any game now…he’s got a day off today, which might do him some good.

Yesterday during batting practice I watched Dusty give him some encouragement (and perhaps some pointers).

I love this photo of Brandon and Aroldis yucking it up…

Alright folks, enjoy the game tonight.  Here’s hoping for 7 in-a-row!

Go Reds!

Expect good news
