Here’s the most updated list of Reds “at-bat” music…

Wanna win a  “2012 Reds Spring Training” cap and Better Off Red t-shirt?  Reply in the comments section below with what you think my at-bat song should be, if I were a Reds player.  I’ll choose one winner based on the creativity of the suggestion and the quality of the song.

Congratulations to Eric Fisher, who won a green Reds cap and 2 tickets to the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum by posting the word “Scrimshaw.”

More fun stuff later.  Expect good news!

The Red- Chevelle

Since you’re always keeping us up to date with the latest Reds info, I’ll suggest “What’s New, Pussycat?” by Bobblehead Burt Bacharach.

John Fogerty- Put me in coach.

The Long and Winding Road . . . .your song would have to be by The Beatles, and the title describes a long season. . .

“Year of the Cat” by Al Stewart or a reworded version of Josie and the Pussycats to Jamie and the Pussycats, lol. Sorry Jamie its bad, I know, lol

Take The Money and Run – Steve Miller Band

Ramrod – Bruce Springsteen

White and Nerdy by Weird Al Yankovic

Hell of a Season by The Black Keys.

Calm Like A Bomb – Rage Against The Machine

I See Red by Split Enz (forerunner to Crowded House).

99 Red Balloons by Nena

“I’m Not a Player (I just crush a lot)” by Big Punisher

Good News by Randy Newman

mozart’s 6th sympany.

“Winning It All” The Outfield

Pink Floyd’s “Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict”

Rockateer – Foxy Shazam — Walking up to “5, 4, 3, 2, 1 – Blaaaast Off” would definitely strike fear in any pitcher.

“Love Story” by Taylor Swift, just to crack people up. Or maybe some Miley or Bieber…

Thriller – Michael Jackson

you say hello and I say GOOD BYE by the beatles

Decided to let the shuffle button on my iPod pick – it’s first selection was “Marian the Librarian” from The Music Man. Nope. I gave it a few more tries, “Nothing from Nothing” by Billy Preston had potential. Gave it a few more clicks and we finally had a winner: “The Lonely Bull” by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass.

the puppy song-harry nielsen (its just a fun song, okay. Don’t judge me)

“Bright Lights” Gary Clark Jr

Eye of the Tiger……..that’s what I’d pick!

Parry Gripp – Sandwich

I did not know that simply throwing a youtube link in my comment would embed the video. That’s kinda cool, actually.

Winner winner, chicken dinner! They could play the video on the scoreboard too.

“Whip My Hair” – Willow Smith

You Get What You Give by The New Radicals

Hi-Tek- How We Do It

Jamie’s Cryin’ from Van Halen 1. Just use the music part and blast it !

Tuff Enuff – The Fabulous Thunderbirds (either start at 0:08 or 1:40)

“I’ve Got a Feeling” by the Beatles. I know, you said that in 2010 repeatedly when the boys got off to a bit of a slow start. See how well that worked for them?

“Hangin Tough”-New Kids on the Block

Unspoken Word – Bobby Digital

I Can’t Drive 65 by the Red Rocker- Sammy Hagar

Better Off Alive by Train and Pat Monahan.

You Better You Bet – The Who

The Happy Days themesong and when you get a hit they could play a “sit on it” clip or a Fonzie “aaaaa”

We’re Going To Be Friends – The White Stripes

“Working for a livin” Huey Lewis&the news

Fat Bottom Girls–Queen

It’s a Small World

Barracuda- Heart

Memory remains by Metallica

Zero by Smashing Pumpkins

Dude looks like a Lady…by Aerosmith!!

Glory Days – Bruce Springsteen

Remember I’ve seen you come to the plate and a real ballplayer has more than one song! —– Howlin’ For You – The Black Keys (start at 0:54), Paris (Ooh La La) – Grace Potter (start at 1:04), and finally Smiling Faces Sometimes – The Undisputed Truth.

If it is “Whip My Hair” it has to be the Jimmy Fallon as Neil Diamond accompanied by Bruce Springsteen version.

another brick in the wall
