REDS AFFILIATE LUNCHEON
The Reds today hosted Reds On Radio affiliates at Great American Ball Park for a luncheon and Q&A session. Attendees at today’s event included Bob Castellini, Walt Jocketty, Marty Brennaman, Jeff Brantley, Todd Frazier, Jose Arredondo and Ryan Ludwick.
I took some photos and listened in on some of the Q&A session. When asked about his reaction to the Tigers signing Prince Fielder and how it would affect the Reds long-term plans for Joey Votto, Walt said the club is optimistic in signing Votto beyond the term of his current contract.
Ryan Ludwick offered up a nice story about how he grew up a Reds fan idolizing Eric Davis. Ludwick said when he was a kid playing ball in the backyard, he always pretended to be playing for the Reds in Riverfront Stadium.
