Today marks the start of a busy week in Reds Country.  We’re currently prepping for three legs of the Reds Caravan, set to kick off Thursday morning at 9-sharp at the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum.

The Reds Caravan (presented by is scheduled to make fan stops in four states, covering four days and more than 2,600 miles.  There will be 15 public stops and several Hot Stove stops at Reds on Radio affiliates.

The 2012 tour will consist of three separate caravans touring simultaneously.  There’s quite a (friendly) rivalry between the three buses, so if you manage to make it to one of the 15 public stops, please bring your posters showing which Caravan group you like best (North, South or West).  If your poster is spotted and photographed, there’s a good chance it will appear right here on BOR.

I’ll be on the Southern Tour (aka, “The Rock Star Tour”) with Brandon Phillips, Marty Brennaman, Lee May, Chris Welsh, Tucker Barnhart, Bob Miller, Ryan Rizzo and Gapper.  In addition to visiting our friends in Kentucky and West Virginia, we’ll be appearing at the Reds Select-A-Seat event at Great American Ball Park on Saturday.  This event is a great way to introduce yourself to a Reds season-ticket package.  (For more information on the Reds Select-A-Seat event, please CLICK HERE).

Here’s the latest unofficial Reds Caravan Poster #9…

Be sure to collect all of the numbered unofficial Reds Caravan posters right here on BOR. And don’t forget, you can join in on the fun by sending me ( your very own specially-designed poster. If it’s good and in good taste, I’ll post it right here on BOR.

For live coverage of the Reds caravan, keep it here on Better Off Red.  I’ll be posting right from the South bus, as will my colleagues from the North and West buses.  You can also visit where you’ll find full itineraries and rosters for all three tours.

Reds Caravan sounds like so much fun. You need to tell them to make a detour to Canada.🙂

Wow! What An AllStar lineup of players on the Reds Caravan this year. It’s like the 1976 Reds rolling out Rich Hinton, Joe Henderson, Don Werner and the superstar Mike Lum. I appreciate the players that have agreed to participate in this year’s tour. It is not their fault they are not A list fan favorites. Is Brandon Phillips the only Red that thinks it is nice to get out there for the fans? Where are the guys people want to see? Bit players and wannabe Reds minor leaguers don’t generate “fandemonium”. Shame on the starters. Don’t their fans deserve a little more? The Reds do so much the right way. How did they drop the ball on this one? Wow!
