TODAY’S NEWS: The Reds have invited to Major League spring training camp minor league RHP Nick Christiani, RHP Daniel Corcino, LHP Donnie Joseph and C Tucker Barnhart, increasing to 12 the number of non-roster invitees…they will join RHP Sean Gallagher, LHP Jeremy Horst, RHP Chad Reineke, LHP Clayton Tanner, RHP Kanekoa Texeira, C Brian Esposito, C Corky Miller and OF Daryl Jones.

CONGRATULATIONS: Salvatore Varriale, a scout for the Reds in Italy who on Saturday will receive the Meritorius Service Award at the American Baseball Coaches Association honors luncheon at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel…Varriale conducts coaching clinics and camps for kids throughout Italy and as the sports director for the Parma baseball club assists teams from the United States that travel to there to play.

FREE ADMISSION TO REDS HOF: Reds fans age 13 and under will be admitted free to the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum on Martin Luther King Day (Mon, 1/16)…the hall is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m….regular museum admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors (60 and older) and $6 for active military and veterans with valid military ID…for more information visit or call (513) 765-7923.


I am looking forward to seeing how well these non-roster invitees do at spring training.

and that should be C Tucker Barnhart. Nice looking catcher who should do pretty good at spring training.

This will be Corky Miller’s breakout season! Pretty sure that is why Grandal was dealt for Latos.

I hope so, I really like Corky Miller and I hope he stays with the Reds for many more years. (as a coach / manager)
