CINCINNATI (Jan. 10, 2012) — The 2012 Reds Caravan, presented by CincinnatiUSA.com, kicks off Thursday, Jan. 26 and is scheduled to make 15 fan stops in four states covering more than 2,800 miles over four days.

The Caravan consists of three separate tours traveling simultaneously through Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia and provides fans with the opportunity to interact with current and former players, broadcasters and members of the Reds front office staff. At each fan stop, the group will field questions from fans and sign autographs while time allows.

For the third year in a row, the Caravan will stop at Great American Ball Park in conjunction with the annual “Select-A-Seat” event for prospective season ticket holders. Fans can choose their seats and purchase season ticket plans ranging from a 13-game plan to an 81-game full season plan. Autographs at the Select-A-Seat stop are limited to fans purchasing season ticket plans.

Reds sales representatives will be at each stop to answer ticketing questions, while the Reds Hall of Fame, the Reds Community Fund and Cincinnati USA Regional Tourism Network will attend selected stops.

The caravans will also visit over 20 of the Reds on Radio affiliates throughout Reds Country during the trip.

Jamie, I have never been a part of the caravan, and I have tried to find info but have had no luck. Can you tell me how I would find out the cost of this trip and other details? Thanks, Donna

Thank you for sharing this info.

The GABP select a seat how does that work and what players will be there and will you have the opertunity too meet the players?

Is Joe Morgan going to be on the Caravan again this year?

Hey, I saw on another site that this blog is no. 2 in the top 100 MLBlogs, based on page views the last six weeks or so. Congratulations. They’re offering a ‘badge’ to display on your page. Check it out.

gack! Nevermind. Just saw the ‘badge.’ You know all about it. Still, congrats!

I sure hope not. He is rude and not fan friendly. He wouldn’t sign certain items at last year’s caravan unless he was being paid huge dollars at a card show. The caravan should be all about good will and fan interaction. With Morgan on the caravan, you just get pissed off people after they get rebuffed from “Little” Joe. I was not the only one that felt this way. Everyone else that participated acted like first class guys. Joe was the lone jerk.
