UMPTEEN DAYS OF CHRISTMAS – DAY 12

During the “Umpteen Days of Christmas“, I’m giving away some really cool Reds-related stuff here on Better Off Red.  Several Reds departments within the front office have graciously donated these prizes as a “thank you” for your support.

Congratulations to Day 11 winner – Christina Keister

Today’s gift is a signed Scott Rolen bobblehead and a Better Off Red t-shirt, courtesy of Game Day Events and Burt BobbleRed.

If you’re interested in these most excellent prizes, tell me why in the comments section below.  One lucky winner will randomly be chosen and announced tomorrow.

IRON SOLD SEPARATELY

I have my own iron (possibly . . . ). I want that bobblehead!!!

Seriously, who wouldn’t be interested in winning these prizes?

I’d love o win this for my sisters in law. They are huge Reds fans & for Christmas we got them a sassoon ticket pack. I know Scott is one of their favorite players as well!!

I am interested in these because Scott Rolen was one of the BEST things that happened to the Reds. So many people thought the trade for him was a horrible idea and we gave up to much, but his leadership and glove has brought an amazing amount to the table, was certainly a contribution to the Division Championship in 2010, and will be a sure helper in the Hunt for 2012!

Oh and a BOR shirt… haha… riiiight… That’s fun too! Such a good blog, run by such a baseball-savvy man…

I would love to win the Scott Rolen autographed bobblehead and help expand my collection. I have all the Johnny Bench ones and now I need ones for current players.

i think ive been good this year ask santa

I need a bobblehead to go with the Gomes Gnome on my desk at work.

Please pick me! Great blog! Thanks for all the work you do to bring Reds news and views to us commoners!

Pick me please. Thanks! Go Reds!

Not sure how many times I’ve tried to win something BOT, but I’m starting to feel like someone who tweets John Fay a question and gets the answer No, everytime.

I have an empty space on a shelf that’s just the size of that bobblehead and an extra hanger in my closet screaming for a BOR shirt!

my favorite part of the Umpteen Days of Christmas is going back one day to see what the winner wrote to deserve the prize. It always warms my heart that these deserving people are getting nice presents for their loved ones for Christmas. Keep up the good work, Jamie!

I have been very good this year and would love to win either of those 2 prizes

It would be my first reds autograph

Rolen is one of the only bobbleheads I don’t have from last year and it would look great with the rest.

I would wear this t-shirt proudly to any and every sporting event! Also, I am missing the Scott Rolen Bobblehead from my collection.

Randomly pick me please…

That elusive BOR shirt!!! I’m after one of those!!! Of course that Bobble head would be pretty sweet to add to the collection and my very very young bobble head collection as well.

Thanks!
Greg

I would love to have the Rolen bobble head, i tried to get an autograph at RedsFest but had no luck besides i am not getting anything for Christmas and this would be a good end to a very bad year!

I need my first bobble head to start a collection! And I have a great Iron that would go perfectly with that shirt!

I could really use a new shirt. I have been looking for years for that one shirt with the perfect amount of wrinkles. I think this one would be perfect.

Finally a BOR t-shirt! If I win, I will give the t-shirt to my favorite person in the world…me!* And the Scotty bobble head is just icing on the cake!

*I say this tongue-in-cheek, but the t-shirt is definitely going into my weekly rotation.

You know gray is my favorite color.

Because it wants to come home for Christmas and take it’s rightful place in a Red Stocking on my mantel in Jasper, Indiana.

I’ve been trying to win a BOR shirt for AGES! So really, this would make my year. And it just so happens I have two irons in my house. Yes, two.
And plus, who wouldn’t want a signed Rolen bobblehead? Scott Rolen is the man.

I love my Reds and would love to own a BOR shirt :)

Huge Rolen fan, would love to win this for Christmas! Thanks.

I need this for my bobblehead collection!

Rowenta Iron………………………………..$65.00
Target Ironing Board……………………..$19.69
Having my very own BOR T-Shirt……Priceless

I would love the Rolen bobblehead! Let’s say Rolen and I have a weird history; with him coming up in the Phils organization I didn’t like him. He was this tough player who played his heart out and was quite successful in winning the ROY in ’97 which should of gone to Pokey Reese because he was just so exciting to watch! Then Rolen played some years w/ those guys in Missouri and lucky left that place to play internationally in Toronto! And now here he is with the Reds who has helped this team become a contender year after year and we hope he gets healthy so we can see that awesome swing of his!
Oh, if I happen to get the t-shirt I will be excited about that as well, since I have the 1st edition BOR t-shirt and this would go good with it!

Keep up the good work Jaime! Hope to see you all in Phoenix in February!

Scott Rolen is the best! This is a really awesome present.

My dad works for a plant in Marietta, OH and is getting laid off Dec 29th. He’s a big Reds fan and I’m sure he would be thankful for a gift from B.O.R.!

It would also be my only autograph of a current player. Scott Rolen has been a favorite of mine since his earlier playing days, even during his stellar time with the detestable Saint Louis Cardinals. His attitude on and off the field epitomize the meaning of “consummate professional.”

Looking forward to my second season as a ticket holder and I probably appreciate Jamie’s taste in music more than anyone on Twitter.

Jasper being Scotty’s native home of course. Just in case that didn’t connect as you quickly scanned the replies. ;-)

I would LOVE to win this prize- I grew up in the same town as Scott Rolen- Jasper, Indiana- and he is one of my favorite REDs. What a great giveaway today.

A signed scott rolen bobble head would look good in my display case at work and it would also make my coworkers jelous

I do not have a Scott Rolen autograph. It would be a great addition to my Reds memorabila collection.

I would love these prizes! Rolen is the man, I hope fans haven’t forgotten him. Jamie I love the work you do, I run a sports blog/twitter for my student radio sports talk show at Ohio State

I would love to have that bobblehead because I have actually been to a bachelor party with Scott Rolen! We have mutual friends from his hometown of Jasper, IN, and this would be a great addition to my collection to have a signed bobblehead from someone I have actuall met! I’d be honored to receive it, and the t-shirt which I have been dying to win. I will display the bobblehead and wear the shirt proudly! Happy Holidays everyone!

I rarely iron, but I would still rock that shirt! And I’d gladly accept Rolen’s bobblehead, he’s one of the few players that’s actually older than me. :)

Sadly, by not commenting at all, I think I would actually increase my odds of winning. Or perhaps my time will come when the grand prize is something I already have, don’t need, or can’t use. Can you say….BORN LOSER!?!

I need the BOR shirt to match @Tonester5′s and the Scott Rolen bobble would be cool so I can brag that I have one and he doesn’t

I could add Rolen’s bobblehead to my collection!

This would look great in my sons room in between dusty an Johnny bench an his Chris sabo signed balk.

This would be awesome to win! Rolen was the main autograph I wanted to obtain at Redsfest this year but I had no luck. I also collect bobbleheads and check the B.O.R. site nearly everyday.

Scott would look pretty good in my office. Sports coordinator !!!! I need that in my office.

Reds stuff!

I’ll wear the shirt every time I go out in public while showing off the bobble head to every one I pass on the street while screaming Jamie Ramsey’s name from the top of a mountain.

Rolen is good, Rolen is great. His Bobble is neat, but with a signature too, that’s just way cool. I’m in to win.

I would like the Scott Rolen bobble head because it would help me heal the wounds of this past fantasy football season. My team, aptly named MR. BALLS in honor of Scott Rolen, was bounced from the playoffs for the second consecutive year and I am still licking my wounds. This is the third year MR. BALLS has been around (all previous seasons were barely .500 at best) and I am yet to have a winning season. However I refuse to change my team name, because like Scott Rolen my team has resilience and will one day become a champion (except not with the cardinals). The shirt is pretty cool too, it would go well with my Votto-In-Polo jersey.

A gift like that would make me Dad Of The Year!! At least in my son’s eyes it would. He would give a signed bobblehead — especially a great like Rolen — a place of honor on his shelf.

I would love to get this because while the Scott Rolen bobblehead is sweet and would occupy a place of honor in my home, the BOR t-shirt would instantly make me the envy of all my misguided, slightly mentally defective Yankee-loving friends. Thanks!

Because my daughter would love to have that under the tree – and we are huge Reds fans.

I like Reds.

As a huge Rolen fan, all I can say is PICK ME!!!

Scott Rolen rocks! Like Rolen, I am a Hoosier–at least an honorary one, since I lived in lovely Bloomington, IN, home of Indiana University, for ten years. Now that I’m back in my hometown of Cincinnati, I would be proud to display the Rolen bobblehead on my desk. And the BOR t-shirt would be worn constantly, of course. GO IU!! More importantly, GO Scotty and GO REDS!!

Pick me because I like Bobbleheads and I really want a BOR t-shirt.

‘Twas five days till Christmas and all through the ‘Nati,
The big trade last weekend has me feeling batty.

I check BOR daily, follow on twitter too,
Even though you’re from Miami, I have a degree from OU.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
Umpteen days of this swanky Reds gear!

Suddenly I realized, when making my list
A Rolen bobble and BOR shirt I must’ve missed.

I have several Reds bobbles at home on a shelf,
But none of Scott Rolen, nor signed by himself.

Though I always liked the image of Burt,
I’d settle for this one, and the wrinkles won’t hurt.

I dream of Spring Training and the opening game,
When Marty will shout and call them by name:

Now! Votto, now! Phillips, now! Rolen and Bruce;
On! Stubby, on! Heisey, and 1′s and the 2′s!

With Pujols bought out and Braun on a shelve,
The division will be ours in Two-thousand-and-twelve!

So grant me that bobble and shirt if you please,
Happy Christmas to BOR, I’ll wear it to the World Series!

Ok – really cool stuff and I’d love to have it – but how can you not pick @redsfan5_14 with that witty poem!

Jamie you gotta give it to this girl! She clearly wants it more than the rest of us.

I think you mean JL. The author is below the post.

Rolen is the only bobblehead from the current roster. I would LOVE this. And the T-shirt too!

I don’t own any clothes, I need the shirt to keep warm in the cold winter.

I would love to win this because Scott Rolen is THE MAN! (….and quite possibly the one person who could take on Johnny Gomes and Chuck Norris at the same time with one pinkey toe tied behind his back.)

I NEED a BOR t-shirt…that is all!!!

I collect bobbleheads and I am missing a Scott Rolen one. This would be a great addition to my collection.

I have an Edinson Volquez, Two Joey Votto’s, a Brandon Phillips, and a Johnny Gomes bobblehead on my shelves at home. I need a Scott Rolen to help complete my bobblehead collection.

Huge reds fan, and my 4 year old son is a even bigger reds and votto fan. Would make a nice xmas gift for him this year. Also enjoy the blog!

How cool is that…IRolen is awesome! An all around good guy and excellent ambassador for the Reds and baseball in genreal.

The shirt would be a great addition to my wardrobe!

Yes, please.

Although I have lived just outside Kansas City for the past seven years, I was born and raised as a Reds fan in Dayton, OH. My love for the Reds has only gotten stronger since moving to KC, and I try to showcase my dedication to the team every chance I get. I deserve to win today’s giveaway because I have stuck by the Reds through good times and bad, and I will always do so. People often tell me a Reds win or loss should not dictate whether I am in a good or bad mood, and my response to them is always the same – “let’s just hope the Reds win tonight.”

I want one because Rolen is a beast!

I need a BOR shirt!!!

I hope Rolen can stay healthy and I would love the t shirt! Go Reds!

I have Coldplay echoing through my head right now! For the love of Scotty this would be a great prize! Wish me luck! :)

I would love to add this bobblehead to our families collection.

Rolen’s BBH would complete my infield. Thanks for considering this old time Red’s fan.

PLEEEEEEEASE

Another day, another hopeful entry!

ive been a faithful reds fan all year santa

I want this because of that sweet Better Off Red t-shirt… I mean, I guess that Scott Rolen bobblehead is ok. But that t-shirt, that’s the stuff dreams are made of

my wife calls me a bobble head this was ment for me i think

i would share the gift, shirt for dad, scott rolen bobblehead for me

We love Scott Rolen, especially my 8 year old daughter, and who wouldn’t want a BOR t-shirt! The wrinkles go nicely with the rest of our wardrobe.

This bobblehead would make a great addition to my bobblehead collection. Another BOR t-shirt would be a great added bonus also!

I would love to have the autographed Scott Rolen bobblehead to add to my son’s collection. The t-shirt would be great too. Thank you.

I would love to win this Scott rolen bobblehead because I have always been a big supporter of his and it would look great next to my Joey one! Also I would dieee if I got a BOR shirt. Meeting you at redsfest was definitely my highlight! Thanks and go redlegs!

Happy Holidays to BOR…. Love to add this to my bobblehead collection.!

I’ve tried everyday. I am deserving!

Well, I would LOVE the t-shirt, and if Jamie autographed it, that would be icing on the cake! It would make a great belated birthday gift for myself (12/17). The bobblehead would go to my 2 year old grandson who is already a huge Reds fan. Lastly, I’ve never won anything from BOR.

I’d love to have Scott in my living room during games…agreeing with me when I second guess the umpires or Dusty…

I would love to display both of these proudly in my office! Merry Christmas and thank you for the opportunity! I’ve tried everyday but still think it’s great your doing this and helping to spread holiday cheer!

I LOVE SCOTT ROLEN! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Sorry, I got a bit excited. But clearly you can see how I feel about this particular Umpteen giveaway. And I’ve heard that a “lightly crinkled” BOR shirt is all the rage right now. It seems only natural an iron wouldn’t be included. Besides, who uses irons anymore? (Besides my roommate.)

I’ve been to every Reds bobblehead game since 2002 and would love to finally have one signed!! Plus I’m still looking for something to wear to Christmas dinner so that shirt would sure come in handy!

Because I think Rolen is going to have a good year this year and I want to give it to my son as a gift. The shirt I’m keeping for myself because I love your blog!

I think one of these prizes should go to Paul. He needs some help starting his Reds fan collection.

I like rolen and bobble heads are cool… i got just enough room for it on my dresser with my other reds stuff help me get enough to move it to a shelf

the bobblehead is nice (not as nice as Burt) but the shirt is awesome!

Scott is definitely one of my favorite players (if only he could stay healthy!) and I always check in to BOR to get the inside scoop on what’s going on with the Reds. Jamie provides a great service to us fans.
