For the next “umpteen” days, I’ll be giving away some really cool Reds-related stuff here on Better Off Red. Several Reds departments within the front office have graciously donated these prizes as a “thank you” for your support.

Congratulations to Stephanie Brockman, winner of yesterday’s prize – a free Redlegs Run 5k entry!

Today’s prize is a 2012 Votto Pick-4 Ticket Plan, courtesy of the Reds ticket sales department.

If you’re interested in winning this prize, tell me why in the comments section below.  One winner will randomly be chosen and announced tomorrow here on BOR.

And remember, if you didn’t win, we have more prizes coming up in the next “umpteen days.”

I should win because it will help me become more and more of a Reds fan. For the past few years I have been going to more Reds games every year. This year included my second Opening Day and my first Opening Night. I’m buying season tickets this year to guarantee my tickets. I also got Mr Redlegs tattooed on my calf to celebrate my first 10k, which I ran at the Redlegs Run. My Reds Bobblehead collection is also growing, I’m up over 20 bobbleheads, plus I have the Aroldis action figure and 6 starting lineup toys. The Pick 4 pack will help me get all of next year’s bobbleheads!

I would love to have these tickets and have the ability to share Reds baseball with my 1 and a half year old son. We are from indianapolis and can’t not make it down to the games that often because of the cost. Free tickets would be great.

I always buy 6 to 8 tickets for the season. This would be a great start.

I would like to win the Votto pick-4 tickets because I am getting a Votto shirt for Christmas and I would like to wear it on his bobble-head day!

Like everyone else, I would love to get the Votto 4pack for selfish reasons- I want to take my son and teammates to see the Reds. I coach Little Leaguers in rural southern ky. Besides my son, none of the others had been to a MLB game. So last year my wife and I decided to make three trips to Cincinnati to see the Reds, taking our son and two new teammates each time. The kids loved it. We are going to do the same this year, and this four pack would go a long way in our endeavor. Thanks.
Don Perry

I’d like to win because I am a huge Reds fan from out of town, Hershey pa. I always looking for a reason to make the trip and this would make it so much more worth my while, Joey Votto has been my fav player ever since he took the starting job, and I really want to get to see him play in person!

I would love to win these tickets to take my son to the games! We are huge Reds fans. We go to as many games as we can and my son collects bobbleheads for his baseball themed bedroom. I hope I win, if I do I’ll wear my BOR shirt to every game I go to!

Hey Jamie,

I would love the Votto Pick 4 Plan because I’m a life long Reds fan (since the 80s) and I moved to Florida in ’95. I’ve turned my 2 sons into Reds Fans by showing them video of the ’90 World Series Champs and watching about 80 games a years on the MLB package. They know exactly who The Nasty Boys are. We’re coming to Dayton for Summer vacation in June ’12 and are planning a Reds game and Kings Island weekend. A 4 pack of tickets would be perfect.

I think this would be a great start for my new family. My wife and I are expecting our first child this year and I want to take Baby Carver to one Reds game a year until he/she is able to take me. We would be grateful if you helped us start a new Carver tradition!

I’m a diehard fan, Cincinnati native now in Charleston, W.Va. I would love to get all my Cincinnati favorites in one trip: family, friends, LaRosa’s, Skyline and Cincinnati Reds baseball.

I like baseball.

MY 14 year old son and I are huge Reds fans. As far as I am concerned, baseball is the ONLY sport. We do our best to catch all the Reds games, whether on TV , radio, or at the ballpark. This would be a great Christmas present for both of us, and the Votto bobblehead would be a great addition to our memorabilia collection!

I would love this for the Vote Votto kid, Aj. He was a star a couple years ago on the news 🙂

Great prize. Go Reds Go

Since the REDS will be in mil. may 7-9 and my b-day is the 7 I would celebrate it on the 13th and would donate the rest 2charity.. Thank you and God bless you:)

I would love to win because I have been a hardcore Reds fan my whole life (I’m 33 now). I live in Dayton but went to 11 Reds games in 2011 and plan on going to as many or more in 2012. This would definitely help me do that financially. Also, I’m an All Star member of the Reds Hall Of Fame and have gone to Redsfest two years in a row. A big highlight of this year was taking a road trip to PNC Park in Pittsburgh to see the Reds beat the Pirates (Dontrelle Willis’s first win as a Red) on September 25th. My son Nolan is in Reds Heads for the second year in a row also. He really enjoys going to to the games and seeing the mascots too.

It would be amazing to win the Votto pick-4 ticket plan so that I can go in place of my little brother. My brother is a HUGE Reds fan and goes to as many games as he can. He also has a large collection of bobbleheads and other assorted collectibles, but what would make this so cool is that over Thanksgiving, he informed us that he is joining the Air Force. He will be leaving for basic training this summer and I can’t think of anything better than going to the Reds games and sending him some pics of the games to feel a little more at home.

I would love to win this prize because my 12-year-old grandson is a big Joey Votto fan and we could take him and his brother to see Joey and the Reds. Last year we were able to take him to see three Reds games, and what a joy it was! My grandson’s father will not allow my grandson to play basegball and has never taken him to see any ballgame, let alone a Reds game, so we have the pleasure of sharing our love of the game with him. Thanks for all you do!

I’d love to have the ticket pack to take my kids and watch the Reds win the central next year!

I would love to win so that we will be able to attend more games this coming season. Right now, I’m going to be cleaning out the bank to suprise my husband with Diamond Club seats for his 30th birthday (something he has always wanted) in May, so the budget for multiple games is going to be severely limited! It would be great to have some more games we know we can go to!

I would love to win because I want to give them to my wife for Christmas. She love Joey and I want to make her happy by making sure she gets to see him more often.

I would like to win so that I can take my three sons who are huge Reds fans to the game. They are ages 6, 5, and 3 and all love to listen to Reds on Radio with me. Votto is my 3-year-old’s favorite player. We took him to his first game last year and he screamed Votto’s name every time they announced his at-bat. I also have a fourth son who is 7 months old. He’s a Reds fan too, he just doesn’t know it yet.🙂 Thanks for the opportunity to win tickets!

I am a Reds fan who has given a great deal of money and time the past few years to support them. I am currently in doctoral school in Indiana, yet purchased a flex plan last year, and made it to nearly every game in the plan. I even splurged to make it to opening night. Those 2.5 hour drives were tough, getting home at 1 in the morning only to have to be up again to go to work, but they were always worth it.
At this point, I can’t afford another flex pack. While I’ll certainly make it to a game or two, I don’t know if I can afford to make many. As a fan who is dedicated to the team, and has shown that I am a top-class fan, sacrificing time and money, I believe I deserve this ticket package.

i would love to win this prize for me and my son to go see some great action at GABP this summer. it would make my christmas a little brighter to give him those tickets on christmas because i know he would explode with joy. he was part of the reds rookie success league 2 years ago and he got to go see the redlegs beat halladay and the phillies. this would give us a chance to make some memories that would last a lifetime. thank you for your time sir

I am interested in winning because, like others replying, I’m a real Reds fan. I have been since the age of 8–33 years ago–in good times and bad. I follow the Reds to a fault (just ask my family). The family would love a get away to Cincinnati for a game and other activities. I don’t though have a compelling story. If you pick randomly I’m as good a choice as anyone else–but there are undoubtedly some here could use the tickets “more” than me.

I would love to win this prize. We are a family of long-time die-hard Reds fans. Due to the economy, last year was the first year in about 15 that we couldn’t afford to attend a Reds game ( tickets, hotel, gas, etc- all just too expensive) Would make this a very merry Christmas in our household.

As you know I am a HUGE Reds Fan. I don’t get to as many games as I would like to as I am on a fixed income. These tix would make my Holiday a special one!!! Go Reds!!!

Canada LOVES the Reds and Joey Votto.. enough said!

oh man, i wasn’t expecting to see this in the contest. what a great prize. i’ve never own anythign off of the better of red blog out of all the times i participated. but why not try again? like they say, you can’t win if you don’t play, right?

the votto 4-pack deal would be a wonderful gift for myself and my 3 friends in louisville who can only go to one game a year. (And, we unfortunatly only get to see eachother once a year sue to work and college schedules.) seeing eachother for a reds game, and them recieving their favorite players bobblehead would be a game for all us to remember.

I would should win because I love the Reds and bobbleheads. And I would have to buy 3 more so my whole family could go!

I think that pretty much sums it up.

I’m a huge Red’s (and Votto) fan. I am also working on a bobblehead collection. And who wouldn’t want free tickets to watch the 2012 NL Central champions?

I have a bobblehead addiction.

I picked up one of these packs at Redsfest, but only for two people. I would love to be able to bring the rest of the family!

The past few years I have shown my dedication to the Reds by driving from Columbus to as many home and away games as possible. My brother and I even picked up and drove to St.Louis and back in one day, just to watch the Redlegs stomp “that team out West.” Last year, I made it to 23 home games, only completely missing three weekend homes series. And, this was all while studying in nursing school! Between the cost of tickets and driving approximately 100 miles to the games 1-3 times a week, my love for the Reds became fairly expensive!. Winning these tickets would not only help me save on some expenses for this coming year, but would also provide me more opportunities to bring my dad, a lifelong fan, back to GABP for only his third trip. Thank you for the consideration and Go Reds!

WOW!!….Who wouldn’t LOVE to win this prize!!! We (the J family!) totally LOVE LOVE LOVE our REDS….and that is reason enough to play along and hope to be the lucky winner!! Thanks Jamie!!(and the generous donators for your give-a-ways! They Rock!) 🙂

This would be fantastic to win! I didn’t have a chance to go last year to Votto’s bobblehead night and would love to have the chance this year! Go Reds!

I would love to have these tickets so my best friend and I can go to the games together. Last year we went to like 6 games together and this year we definitely want to go to more since we are huge reds fans. Also, we are both the biggest Joey votto fans ever. This new bobblehead would look perfect by mine from last year and the one from when he played in Dayton🙂 winning these tickets would seriously make both of our Christmases!

i wish i win the tickets because im a huge reds fan. i like votto, yonder alonso, brandon phillips, aroldis chapman, mike leake and well lets just put it this way if your wearing a reds uniform im a fan. ive only been to 1 game in my life and would like to go to many more. either way, win or lose im a reds fan for life. i guess you could say im Better Off Red!!!!!!!!!

Now I know this is going to sound like a cheesy afternoon special but I assure you it means a lot to me. Growing up, I never really had a father. I mean he was around but, wasn’t really involved as much as he should have been. My mother remarried when I was 5 years old and I now had a stepfather. He took me in as his own and taught me the things that matter in life. The kinds of things that dads are supposed to teach their sons. Skipping rocks, throwing balls, how to chew sunflower seeds. His love for baseball was something I found we could connect on and do together. He managed my baseball team every year and wasn’t the kind of hardcore coach that plays their kid even if he stinks. I wasn’t the fastest kid or couldn’t throw the hardest but, he taught me the value of teamwork. My love for the game of baseball carries on to this day. Whether it be watching on t.v., going to a game, or standing in line for hours at Redsfest, I love everything about it. Yet, I find myself struggling to find the perfect gift for him during the holidays. Maybe tickets aren’t the “perfect” gift either but, it’s an excuse to spend a few hours with someone who means a lot to me. This is just a way to show my appreciation for everything he’s done and the man he’s made out of me.

As a Reds fan who lives a few hours away from Cincinnati this package would be perfect for me to come to games and cheer on my Redlegs!

“I don’t want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don’t care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
All I want for Christmas is Joey Votto bobblehead pick 4!”
My favorite season of the year is baseball season, and with money getting tighter and tighter, the pick 4 pack to Joey Votto bobblehead night would be amazing! Votto is my all-time favorite Red, and his 2012 bobblehead would fit nicely on my shelf next to his 2011 MVP bobblehead! Go Reds!!🙂

What a great prize! Santa’s elves are busy down at the stadium! We love going to the games and love collecting thebobleheads.

I’ve got a five year old that is flat ate up with Reds baseball and Joey Votto. I think he may even think he is Joey. I’d love to be ableto take him to more games this year. we onlly make it to one or two a year and he loves every minute of being at the ball park. It would make an awesome Christmas present for him!

As a teacher in Southern Illinois I am constantly forced to listen to the stupidity of Cardinal fans, I think I should get these tickets because as a huge reds fan I believe these tickets would be a great getaway from this horrible horrible place. Also, it would make a great surprise for my wife, a fellow reds fan. GO REDS!!

Comr on man! I have to have these tickets for me and my son.. My son is 5 so attetention span is not thay long, usually make the first four ins. Then it is off to the fan zone.. He loves the ballpark and its a fun time. Plus joey votto bobble head at to my collection…

As a lifelong Reds fan, I believe the Votto Pick 4 Plan would be a good present for the hard work I have put in the last three years to make myself a respectable student in the Sport Management program at Bowling Green State University. While a senior this year and aspiring Cincinnati Reds employee, I don’t know where I will be next year as far as my internship goes and if I don’t end up working for my beloved Cincinnati Reds it would be a great chance for me to come home and watch them play. However, if given the plan and I would earn the chance to work with the Reds I will donate the tickets to a lucky fan and let them enjoy the experience. Either way I’m looking for another year of Cincinnati Reds Baseball!

Sorry for spelling this is hard from android.. It spells it’s own words lol

I would love to win this, my best friend and I came to 42 home games last year and loved every minute, we drive from Dayton area and are Reds fanatics. Go Redlegs!! I was raised a Reds fan, my mother Elizabeth was the most loyal Reds Fan I knew, she never spoke poorly of the team even when their record wasn’t good, you just couldn’t say anything derogatory about the Reds around her. She would listen to the games when they were part of west division on the radio, I would get home from work and hear her little radio on in her bedroom at 1am listening to them play on the west coast what a real fan she was, great memories…

I would like to win the Joey Votto Pick-4Plan because I have been a Reds fan for over 45 years and any chance I get to attend a Reds game is a thrilling experience. And the fact that Joey is one of my favorites is a big reason!! GO REDS!!!!

Been going to Reds games since 1971 and would love to win, good luck
to everyone.

Like all of those who have posted, i am a Red’s fan. I am a retired teacher and coach from Harrisonburg, Va. who has followed the Reds since the early 50’s(The days of Temple to McMillan to Klu). It is a 7hr. plus drive to Cincinnati. I try to get there at least once and to Pittsburg and Washington when the Reds are on the road.Joey Votto is among my favorite all-time red’s players. You would be surprised how many Red’s fans are to be found in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Thanks for “Better Off Red” and the Reds are going to have a “great” 2012.

My wife would freak if we won these tickets.

You got-to like Votto!!

I should win because attending Reds games is my wifes favorite thing to do. I have been a life long fan, but in the past 10 years she has become addicted to watching our Reds. This would give us some much needed family time together in the summer months.

I’m not sure why this post says by Eugene Hamblin but this is Spencer C. Moody’s post just throwing that out there. I think the server got confused.

Just kidding I was confused ignore these posts Jamie🙂

The Reds games I went to this year were some of my most enjoyable games ever. I would love to go to many more great games.

I want to give my husband free Reds tickets for Christmas!

Of course I deserve these tickets! The Reds are awesome!

Wow! We have a family of 4 (my hubby, 11 year old son, 7 year old daughter & me!) As BIG Reds fans, these tickets would be used and much appreciated. We love our Cincinnati Reds, and try to drive down from Lima several times each season. Thanks!

I deserve to win this because I have to deal with stupid Cubs fan all year round just because I live in Northwest Indiana!! I insist every day that the Reds are better, I need these tickets so I can go to the game, film parts of the Reds beasting it up, then post it on every Cubs fans Facebook page.

I would love to win these reds tickets, because very summer going to reds games is what my father and I do. Even if we are not able to go to a game we watch every single game on T.V. Not kidding EVERY single game. But sitting in the seats at the stadium watching the team just makes it so much better, and it is something my father and I really enjoy doing togather.

I would love to win the Votto 4-Pack because in the summer going to Reds games is my very favorite thing to do! And now that I finally have summers off (just got my first school job! woo!) I can go to even more!

My wife and I are big fans of Joey Votto and even bigger fans of the Cincinnati Reds. We would love to have the Votto 4-Pack. Our kids would love to go too.

I would love to win these tickets because as a die hard Reds fan I try to go to as many games as I can in a season, but because I only work part time I can’t always afford to go.

I’ve recently taken up playing “bobblehead” baseball and I need a first baseman. I can’t think of a better first baseman than Joey Votto. He is the 2010 NL MVP and a Gold Glove Winner! Of course, I’d take actual people to the games with me, not my beloved bobbleheaded team. Probably my roommate and her Dad since they always share their weekday season tickets with me and I never have the ability to repay them in any way. It would also give me a chance to pickup managing tips from the great Dusty Baker for, you know, that bobblehead baseball team. (BTW, what position does Burt play?)

I live in a home with a basement that cannot be finished because our’s has water problems. I own an awesome Cincinnati Reds collection that has nowhere to go. My collection resides in countless Tupperware Jumbo Tubs. I am a man caveless man. I need the Vooto 4 pack to ease my tourtured mind. Pick me. PLEASE pick me!

Lots of good comments from everyone on here. I’m not worthy more than anyone else. That said, pick me! pick me! pick me!

I had the privilege of attending over 40 games during the 1975 and 1976 Big Red Machine years. Our family (my dad, mom, sister and I) all attended and that’s when I grew to really be a Red’s fan. Now, 26 years later, I’m hoping to re-establish this tradition with my family (wife, son and daughter) since we’ve moved back closer (we live in Lexington, KY now, but used to live in Kansas City). They already are Red’s fans (I’m too big a fan for them not to be!), but my hope is that these four games will allow my wife and I to continue to instill in our kids respect for the game as they embrace a whole new generation of Reds players, with the hope that one day they too can carry on the tradition.

Not sure if I’m too late, but I’m a huge Reds fan that tries to make at least a handful of games each year. My wife and I were hoping to take our daughter to her first Reds game this year, so I’ve been planning to purchase a 4-pack. It would be even better to get picked for this!

I would love a Votto 4-pack for Christmas! Last season, I drove from Columbus to Cincinnati (and back) for FIVE games. Plus, I wanted the Votto MVP bobblehead so bad last season that I bought a ticket for that game, even though I had a prior commitment, just so my friend (who was going to the game) could exit and re-enter to get me a Votto MVP bobblehead! Maybe we can guarantee my 2012 Votto bobblehead a little easier this season?…

As that friend, I’m disappointed you didn’t get your comment posted in time.
