I received some great pics taken yesterday at the Breaking Barriers event at Lakota West High School (our staff photographer “Photo Phil” is darn good).
I’m very much looking forward to meeting Meggie Zahneis. This young lady sounds amazing. I’ve known my boss, Rob Butcher for a long time and he’s not easily impressed. But after attending yesterday’s event, he had some very nice things to say about Ms. Zahneis, which leads me to believe she left quite an impression.

Did this young lady win something last year? I thought I remembered seeing her on the field for pregame ceremonies…
Meggie was recognized at the ballpark, pregame in May with Sharon Robinson for winning the Breaking Barriers essay contest (grand prize winner in 9,600+ essays).
