Reds announce 2012 Cactus League schedule
Reds open against Tribe on March 3-5 in Goodyear, AZ
CINCINNATI (Nov. 14, 2011) — The Cincinnati Reds announce their 2012 Cactus League exhibition schedule, which opens with three games against the Cleveland Indians on March 3-5 at Goodyear Ballpark.
The Reds play 33 exhibition games during the Spring Training season including 19 at Goodyear Ballpark. Cactus League opponents will include the American League Champion Texas Rangers, division winners Arizona Diamondbacks and Milwaukee Brewers and perennial spring favorites such as the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers and Seattle Mariners.
The Reds play all homes games at the 10,000 seat Goodyear Ballpark at the Goodyear Recreation Complex, which also includes the Reds Player Development Complex and the Indians Development Complex.
The Reds will close out the 2012 exhibition schedule on April 2 against the Indians before traveling back to Cincinnati to face the Miami Marlins on Opening Day.
Spring Training Ticket Information
Deposits are currently being accepted for 2012 Spring Training season ticket plans, which offer preferred pricing advantages, access to great seat locations and many other account holder amenities. Three game “Mini Plans” and group tickets go on sale Monday, November 28 at 10 am Mountain Standard Time (MST). With Mini Plans, fans are able to combine Reds and Indians home games to make up the perfect Spring Training getaway.
Individual Spring Training game tickets go on sale Saturday, December 17 at 10 am MST.
Goodyear Ballpark offers ticket options for all fans, from $8 tickets on the outfield “Berm” to premium seating areas complete with all-inclusive food and non-alcoholic beverages. Special discounted tickets for kids will be offered again this spring. Outfield Box, Outfield Reserved or Berm tickets will be half-price for children with the purchase of a regularly-priced ticket in the respective section.
The Reds offer an all-star lineup of ticket promotions including special discount days for seniors, military, Goodyear residents, spring breakers and the ever popular Buckeye Berm Days: when the Reds play the Indians buy a Berm ticket at regular price and receive a second Berm ticket for just $1.
Goodyear Ballpark is the place to catch the Cactus League’s best lineup of promotional days, including Autograph Days, Kids Run the Bases, Play Catch on the Field, Seniors Stroll the Bases, Fan Appreciation Day and Student Appreciation Day.
New promotions for 2012 include Fireworks Nights following Reds home games on March 16 and March 22 and Sundae Fun Days at every Reds Sunday home game with all children 12 and under receiving a voucher for a free McDonald’s sundae.

Note: Arizona’s time zone is the Mountain Standard Time (MST) zone, which is currently two hours behind Cincinnati. Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time (March through November) and after March 10, 2012 Arizona will be three hours behind.
