THIS DATE IN REDS HISTORY

One of the most forgettable moves and one of the best occurred on this date in Reds history.  Let’s get the bad news out of the way first…

November 3, 1992: The Reds trade Paul O’Neill and Joe DeBerry to the Yankees for Roberto Kelly.  It took the Cincinnati club a long time to recover from losing DeBerry.

November 3, 1989: The Reds hire Lou Piniella as manager.  351 days later, the Reds would celebrate a World Championship.
