ELIAS SAYS…. (#hatsoffcin)

From our friends at Elias Sports Bureau

Joey Votto’s walk-off homer in the 14th inning gave the Reds a 5-4 win against the Nationals after he knotted the game with a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning. Votto was the first player in franchise history to homer in both the first and last innings of a game that went 14 or more innings. Votto was the first major-leaguer to do so since the Pirates’ Garrett Jones on July 17, 2009 (in a 2-1, 14-inning win over the Giants at Pittsburgh).
