“LET’S GET READY TO WIN”
Behind-the-scenes documentary of 2010 Reds season to premiere on MLB Network
Broadcast debut on Saturday, July 30 at 5pm on MLB Network
CINCINNATI (July 26, 2011) – A new documentary film Let’s Get Ready to Win: A Day at Great American Ball Park will make its broadcast debut on the MLB Network on Saturday, July 30 at 5pm prior to the Reds vs. San Francisco Giants at 7:10pm.
In the 44-minute Let’s Get Ready to Win, Mid-American Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Craig Lindvahl features the unforgettable Sept. 28 game in which Jay Bruce hits the walk-off home run that clinched the National League Central division title for the Reds, as part of a season-long look behind the scenes at the operations within Great American Ball Park.
“It is fascinating to see the complexity of what goes on 24/7 to make the nine innings of Reds baseball happen,” said Karen Forgus, Reds senior vice president of business operations.
While fans cheer the first division championship in fifteen years, the film shows how the efforts of clubhouse manager Rick Stowe, vice president of ballpark operations Declan Mullin, head groundskeeper Doug Gallant, general manager for Sportservice Don Dierig and assistant director of media relations Jamie Ramsey all help to make the celebration possible.
A preview screening of the documentary will be Thursday, July 28 at 4pm in the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum theatre. The screening is free to the first 90 people requesting tickets at the Reds Hall of Fame beginning at 9am when doors open. Filmmaker Craig Lindvahl will be at the screening.
The Hall of Fame will show the documentary Monday through Thursday at 1pm beginning Monday, August 1.
