MAKE IT OFFICIAL EVENT SATURDAY AT GABP!

The Make It Official Campaign to make Reds Opening Day an officially recognized “ceremonial” holiday in Cincinnati is nearing its deadline to submit signatures to the City for the issue to be placed on this November’s ballot.

Over the past few months, the Make It Official Team has collected more than 6,000 of the required 8,522 needed signatures.

Saturday, July 9, the Make It Official Campaign is hosting a ‘Canvas the City’ event designed to get volunteers into the streets of Cincinnati to help obtain signatures for this grass roots effort.

Any Ohio resident is encouraged to help collect signatures.

Fans are encouraged to meet at the entrance to Great American Ball Park on Saturday between 8:00am and 10:00am to pick up petitions and to select neighborhoods to canvass.

Return completed petitions before 3:00pm to the Make It Official Campaign representative at the entrance to Great American Ball Park to receive a voucher for Reds tickets and be entered in the raffle for an assortment of Reds memorabilia (including autographed baseballs and Diamond Seats).

Volunteers will be given t-shirts while quantities last.

As a Kentucky resident, my inability to participate in this promotion gives me a sad.
