OF Denis Phipps (Carolina) yesterday at Tennessee belted a 3-run homer in the top of the 10th inning to secure the win for the Mudcats…Phipps, who’s hotter than a billy goat in a pepper patch, is working on an 11-game hitting streak (23-for-48, .479, 14r, 9rbi).
LF Juan Duran (Dayton) last night vs Bowling Green belted 2 home runs and finished the night with 5 RBI…when he rounded third base following his second homer, he knocked out a fan in the first row who looked a lot like Sugar Ray Leonard.
