REDS MINOR LEAGUE NEWS

BAILEY, CHAPMAN
RHP Homer Bailey (strained right shoulder) and LHP Aroldis Chapman (left shoulder inflammation) are both expected to make rehab appearances tonight in Louisville as the Bats host Pawtucket.  

ALL-STAR GAMES TONIGHT
The Carolina Mudcats, Bakersfield Blaze and Dayton Dragons are all in the midst of their All-Star breaks…the Southern League All-Star Game, California League vs. Carolina League All-Star Game and the Midwest League All-Star Game all take place tonight in cities across the USA.

LID LIFTERS 
The Reds rookie-level teams in Billings and Goodyear yesterday opened their seasons.

GAME REPORTS

PAWTUCKET (RED SOX) 7, LOUISVILLE 4: LHP Tom Cochran started for Louisville and allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 5.0 innings (0bb, 7k)…RHP Chad Reineke (5-4) suffered the loss in relief (3ip, 2h, 4r, 2bb, 2k)…the Bats scored 4 runs on 8 hits…SS Zack Cozart paced the offense with a pair of hits (1r)…1b Todd Frazier and RF Danny Dorn both homered.

CAROLINA MUDCATS: The Mudcats were off yesterday enjoying the All-Star break…the Southern League All-Star Game takes place tonight in Jackson, TN…RHP Brad Boxberger is the lone Mudcats All-Star.

BAKERSFIELD BLAZE: The Blaze were off yesterday enjoying the All-Star break…C Yasmani Grandal and OF Josh Fellhauer have been selected to represent the Bakersfield Blaze at the 2011 California League vs Carolina League All-Star Game, that takes place tonight at John Thurman Field in Modesto, CA. 

DAYTON DRAGONS: The Dragons were off yesterday enjoying the All-Star break…RHP Daniel Corcino, RHP Josh Smith and 1b Dominic D’Anna have been selected to represent the Dayton Dragons at the 2011 Midwest League All-Star Game that takes place tonight at Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport, IA.

GREAT FALLS (WSOX) 9, BILLINGS 4: The Billings Mustangs lifted the lid on their 38th season as a Reds affiliate…RHP Wes “the Barbarian” Mugarian (0-1) started for Billings and allowed 4 runs (1er) on 7 hits in 5.0 innings (0bb, 7k)…RHP El’Hajj Muhammad pitched 2.1 scoreless innings of relief…1b Robert Maddox and LF Dayne Read had 2 hits apiece…DH Drew Poulk belted a home run.

AZL MARINERS 4, AZL REDS 0: The AZL Reds opened their third season as a Reds affiliate…RHP Luca Panerati (rehabbing) started for the Reds and gave up 3 runs (2er) on 8 hits in 6.0 innings….the Redlegs were blanked on 2 hits.
