REDS MINOR LEAGUE NEWS

CHAPMAN
LHP Aroldis Chapman (left shoulder inflammation) yesterday vs Tennessee made his third rehab appearance for Carolina and pitched 2.0 scoreless innings (0h, 2bb, 3k, 20TP)…he reached 102 MPH on the radar gun…In his 3 rehab apps for the Mudcats, Chapman has allowed 5 runs on 5 hits in 4.1 innings (6k, 5bb).     

SOUTHERN LEAGUE ALL-STAR
RHP Brad Boxberger has been selected to represent the Carolina Mudcats at the 2011 Southern League All-Star Game on Tuesday, June 21 at Pringles Park in Jackson, TN.

CALIFORNIA LEAGUE ALL-STARS   
C Yasmani Grandal and OF Josh Fellhauer have been selected to represent the Bakersfield Blaze at the 2011 California League vs Carolina League All-Star Game on Tuesday, June 21 at John Thurman Field in Modesto, CA.

MIDWEST LEAGUE ALL-STARS
RHP Daniel Corcino, RHP Josh Smith and 1b Dominic D’Anna have been selected to represent the Dayton Dragons at the 2011 Midwest League All-Star Game on Tuesday, June 21 at Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport, IA.

LOUISVILLE 1, LEHIGH VALLEY (PHILLIES) 6: LHP Dontrelle Willis (3-2) started for Louisville and allowed 4 runs (3er) on 5 hits in 6.1 innings (2bb, 3k, 1hr)…the Bats pushed across 1 run on 4 hits…LF Dave Sappelt went 1-for-4 with an RBI.

TENNESSEE (CUBS) 3, CAROLINA 8: LHP Aroldis Chapman (rehabbing left shoulder inflammation) started for Carolina and pitched 2.0 scoreless innings (0h, 2bb, 3k, 20TP/11K)…RHP James Avery (4-7) earned the win in relief (4ip, 8h, 3r, 1bb, 3k)…the Mudcats rang the bell 8 times on 11 hits (7-for-15 w/RISP)…RF Felix Perez paced the offense with 3 hits (double, 2rbi, 1r)…3b Mike Costanzo (2-for-5, 2r) belted his 8th home run.

STOCKTON (A’S) 2, BAKERSFIELD 3: RHP J.C. Sulbaran (3-1) started for Bakersfield and was reached for 4 runs on 5 hits in 4.2 innings (3bb, 4k, 2hr)…the Blaze plated 2 runs on 7 hits…DH Yasmani Grandal went 2-for-3 with a walk…C Mark Fleury blasted his 2nd home run.

DAYTON 4, KANE COUNTY (ROYALS) 5: RHP Daniel Renken (2-7) started for Dayton and was reached for 4 runs on 5 hits in 4.0 innings (2bb, 3k, 2hr)…the Dragons crossed the plate 4 times on 5 hits…1b Dominic D’Anna went 2-for-4 with 3 RBI.
