“The thing I liked the most was the fact that he took pitches when they were pitching around him.  He took the walk. He made them throw him strikes. One of the things he’s run into at times is chasing balls out of the zone, getting overanxious. That’s a sign of maturity for him, the way he waited.”- Louisville manager Rick Sweet on last night’s performance by DH Devin Mesoraco (Louisville Courier Journal)

“I was working my slider early in the count and had good control on my fastball.  I just felt good.”- Dayton RHP Daniel Corcino after last night’s sterling performance (Dayton Daily News)

“If somebody got snubbed, it was Tucker Barnhart.  I mean, he’s hitting over .300 and he’s close to the top in terms of throwing guys out. This guy is very deserving.” – Dayton manager Delino DeShields (Dayton Daily News)
